BACKGROUND
The 993 is widely regarded as the most desirable air-cooled 911, the last of the line before water cooling and the last still built largely by hand. This is the ‘Carrera’ in its purest form: rear-wheel drive, the 3.6L M64/21 Varioram flat-six producing 285 hp, and the desirable G50/21 short-ratio 6-speed manual gearbox. The Varioram intake gives the later 993 a stronger, more flexible mid-range than the early cars, and only a few 1996 cars were fitted with this engine, and the ‘early’ short-ratio gearbox: the best of both world!

All of this luxury is well complimented by sporty options as well: it has the limited-slip differential (220), the engine sound package (159), and the desirable lowered sports suspension (033).
Last but not least, Porsche AG also chose the rear badge delete (498), this car is such a big-specced you could even think you see a narrow-body 993 Turbo, and not a ‘regular’ Carrera!
The most recent maintenance was carried out in 2026 with the replacement of numerous items, incl. fluids and new Michelin Pilot Sport tires. The car is freshly serviced and ready to use!
