The 993 Carrera 4S combined the best of both worlds: the widebody stance and brakes from the Turbo with the naturally aspirated engine and 6-speed gearbox from the Carrera.
Porsche created the 4S for drivers who wanted the Turbo look without the turbo lag, the wide hips without the complexity. The result was one of the most charismatic 993s ever built, and one of the favorites’ of Porsche’ upper management in period.
The 3.6-litre air-cooled flat-six produces 286 hp with the linear power delivery and mechanical soundtrack that made air-cooled 911s legendary. The four-wheel drive system provides traction in all conditions while maintaining the engaging feel that defines these cars. The massive Turbo bodywork gives the 4S serious presence on the road.
