The car is finished in Lapis Blue (LM5W) over special order dark grey soft leather (03) with numerous Porsche Exclusive options throughout the cabin.
The paint is largely original with only the front end refinished. Two owners from new with complete service history at Porsche.
This is an extremely rare 996 Turbo The X50 package transforms the 996 Turbo, and was an expensive option to tick back in the days at over 12.000€. For this hefty amount, Porsche fitted larger K24 turbochargers borrowed directly from the GT2, bigger intercoolers 12% more efficient than standard, the GT2’s oil pump, and reinforced gearbox internals to handle the additional stress. The ECU mapping was completely renewed. The result: 450 hp at 6,000 rpm and 620 Nm from 3,500-4,500 rpm. The sprint to 100 km/h drops to 3.9 seconds. Top speed climbs to 305 km/h.
The numbers tell part of the story, but they don’t capture what X50 actually feels like. The turbos spool harder, the power builds more aggressively, the whole delivery is not to be compared with a standard Turbo. It feels closer to a GT2 than to the base car, which makes sense when you consider it shares most of the GT2’s forced induction hardware. This car is a true riot to drive.
This particular car has covered just 46,900 km with two owners from new. Every service was performed at official Porsche dealers with complete documentation. Major service has just been completed, which means the next owner receives a sorted car that’s ready to use immediately. The paint is largely original, although the front end has been refinished to address stone chips.
Lapis Blue shifts between deep navy and brighter blue depending on how light hits the paint. It’s one of the most attractive blues Porsche offered on the 996, and it was rarely specified. The special-order dark grey soft leather interior was expensive when new, it has a supple, tactile quality that standard leather doesn’t match. The Porsche Exclusive treatment adds aluminum details throughout: dashboard trim strip, instrument surround, air vents, center console, door panels, gear lever, handbrake, speakers.
Combined with stainless door sills and aluminum instrument dials, the cabin has a genuine exclusive feel without feeling overdone. The oval stainless exhaust tips complete the aluminum accent theme.
The 996 Turbo market has changed dramatically over the past few years. Prices are climbing fast, and X50 cars command serious premiums over standard Turbos. Finding one with under 50,000 km, complete Porsche history, PCCB brakes, and Exclusive specification is close to impossible. These are the examples collectors want, and they’re starting to disappear into long-term ownership.
Don’t miss your chance!with factory X50 package and just 46,900 km. The X50 uses GT2 parts (turbos, intercoolers, oil pump, reinforced gearbox), and remapped ECU to deliver 450 hp and 620 Nm. Stopping power is on par thanks to PCCB discs with yellow calipers.
This is a wild animal, with virtually every catalogue option ticked. X50 values are climbing fast as collectors recognize what these cars truly are. Don’t miss your chance!
